Suggestion: Easier navigation through chat history

I'm using Discord as main communication app for my NGO. We Frequently discuss topics, that last for weeks and sometimes it's hard to keep track of all the big thoughts among shorter word skirmishes, that didn't add much to the topic.

I had the Idea of an expandable scrolling bar showing stared, pinned, much liked etc. posts in an vertical timeline. Posts, that sparked discussions after a longer while of inactivity should be automatically highlighted, as well as @everyone and every @you in the timeline. 

This emulates the natural process of quickly running through a topic to get, what's going on, just on a simpler level.
