Discord patching

I'd love a way to opt out of automatically downloading patches when the app is already open. I have a limited internet cap when I'm playing online and I already have discord open and all of a sudden a patch downloads while i'm doing something and my data used spikes 0.2gb or something like that. It happens often enough that its starting to get to a point where I would like a quick opt in.

Or simply make it so the app only updates when you start it up, and not when its running.

(Keep in mind I do see it check for updates when I start the app, but I don't remember the last time it actually updated through that, and I was in the middle of a discord channel and a game then its like an update is ready to install.)
