I like to include my mentions in complete, grammatical sentences when I can. In addition, not @everyone will be interested in something I want to say sometimes, but @anyone could be

I'd like to see @anyone / @anybody mentions that function like @everyone so that those words can be used instead whenever appropriate

  I 100% agree. i always catch myself rewording my texts to fit the @everyone.
