Voice call a group conversation without ringing everyone.

Me and my small group of friends use a group conversation, as we have no need to make a full server. We don't want to make new conversations every time, so we use the same group one. We like the ability of friends who weren't there when the call started to be able to join whenever they want, however we don't always want to bother them with a call when only a few of us want to talk, so it would be awesome if we could call a group conversation while choosing who to ring and who not to.

  My friend group has the exact same problem.  Maybe they could add an arrow to the call button with a drop down.  Ring everybody, ring those who are online, join empty call.  Even if you're alone in a call, everybody else can see that and join in as they choose to.

  This is actually supported by the Discord API. Custom voice clients can join a private call without ringing. Ringing is a separate API request made by the client.

  Actually, you can hold shift while pressing call.
