I cant see my friend online

Okay guys, a friend and me tried something in discord. We blocked ourselves for fun and then unblocked again, after that we still cannot see each other online and are shown to each other as offline. that shouldn't be like that? when we added as friends again, we saw ourselves online again, like wtf ... I mean if you unlock a person and you don't wann be his/her friend that makes no sense.
