Profile Backgrounds for All Users

I propose that Discord should implement profile backgrounds for the profile pop out menu and profile modal.
There are several posts on here that suggest adding profile backgrounds for Nitro users only and that the background should only appear in the profile modal.
I believe it is reasonable for this feature to be available to all users with a maximum image size of 2 MB. It would be interesting to see if Nitro users could have the maximum image size increased or allow for animated backgrounds like with profile pictures.

I'd love to see Discord not only adding more value for Nitro subscribers but also providing users with more ways to express themselves!!
This feature would also help different users with the same name to differentiate themselves from others with a similar name.

I would make a set of material colored free backgrounds and nitro could be able to choose their own custom one, even animated.

What a nice idea! Nitro users could have animated blurred picture and normal users could have static colour.

I think I'm more down for static images, just because I'm worried someone might abuse the larger image for something that really strains the eyes or harms someone

Amazing idea. Additional suggestion would be to limit free users to color gradients, which are rendered clientside thru CSS. Decreases server load.
