Thank you, Discord, for taking a stand against racism!
I understand that there's a lot of hate coming your way, mostly stemming from covert, but some overt, racism expressed via misinformed or uneducated opinions, fallacious reasoning, and statistical misinterpretation. I am writing this post in hopes of sending encouragement.
Racism is political. Ignoring racism is political. Taking a stand against racism is political. Indeed, everything is political - there is no minimizing or avoiding it, contrary to those who claim to wish to be "apolitical".
The theory of color-blindness has long since been known to be debunked within academia, with experts in the field stating it harms progress and is a poison against combating racism. Racism has been proven to exist nearly everywhere we look.
The internet and gaming community, unfortunately, has been a strong bastion of it.
Discord is thus faced with a choice: To knowingly (or even unknowingly) allow racism to propagate or to become anti-racist. To allow a hateful aspect of society to expand or to promote inclusivity. The two are incompatible; one cannot tolerate those who sow division and discrimination.
I only hope that Discord backs their words with firm and decisive action. If those whom are racist leave the community because of this, that is our gain - you choose to instead include those who have been wrongfully oppressed consistently since birth. You work to make the world a better place in multiple ways - such as by minimizing the exposure of racism to the impressionable people who use your product.
As I write this, I have subscribed to a full year of Nitro. I will positively support Discord through their anti-racism policies.
Black Lives Matter.

You made me think of fascists and puritans but also of a quote.
"She persuaded me to attend meetings where Hitler would speak; her intent was to have me convert. I told her in no uncertain terms that he sounded like a hysterical fanatic and that I couldn’t understand how an educated, highly intelligent person like her could possibly be impressed by him. She told me that I was not able to appreciate his greatness because I had Jewish blood."
BLM = pure racism
ALL LIVES MATTER.

Once again... Black lives matter (lowercase letters) is a statement, and yes of course they do. Black Lives Matter (capital letters) is a political organization linked to the Democratic party. If you go to blacklivesmatter dot com and try to donate, it will take you to actblue, which basically ends up giving money to Democrats running for the election. If you are allowed to promote Democrats, then you must also be allowed to promote Republicans. It's only fair.
@Roost1513 I am concerned with pretty much your entire first paragraph. You sound like you come from Academia. Would you mind citing your sources? I'd appreciate it! Specifically, I'm interested to read where you've seen "covert, but some overt, racism expressed via misinformed or uneducated opinions, fallacious reasoning, and statistical misinterpretation."
As for what you said about "Ignoring racism is political," I would say not necessarily. Sometimes people just need to turn off politics, at least temporarily, because it is a source of stress for them. Prolonged stress is bad for your body and mind. Please do not persecute people for taking care of their own well being. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5579396/ Additionally, I do not agree with your 'you must participate in this discussion' rhetoric ("there is no minimizing or avoiding it, contrary to those who claim to wish to be 'apolitical'"). People are free to participate, or not participate, in whichever discussions they wish. Forcing them to do otherwise is no less than bullying.
Your argument about Discord being faced with a choice "[t]o knowingly (or even unknowingly) allow racism to propagate or to become anti-racist. To allow a hateful aspect of society to expand or to promote inclusivity" strikes me as a narrative specifically manufactured to put pressure on racial tensions because of the election year. One of the tenets of White Fragility is that "even a minimum amount of racial stress becomes intolerable, triggering a range of defensive moves." As a way to explain my point of view, here's a quick story. Imagine a mom and a dad in a car with their two kids in the back seat. They're both like five years old. The kid on the left keeps poking the one on the right even after being told to stop by the one being poked. Poke Poke Poke. The poking just continues. The parents in this scenario don't see anything. All they hear is the kid on the right finally losing composure and yelling "STOP IT!" Guess who gets in trouble? The kid on the right. Every time. It's not White Fragility if you provoke people to the point that they just cannot take anymore. You made that happen. Poke. Poke. Poke.
In addition to that, the ultimatum you present is very similar to the Antifa logic that says 'you are either pro fascist or anti fascist pick a side.' It's a recruitment speech. It's propaganda. And it's not the only choice. Just as we can reject the tenets of fascism without being a part of Antifa, Discord can choose to remain politically neutral. Discord has other choices besides the ones being presented. To be clear, I absolutely agree that Discord should remove actual racists from its service, while holding true to standards of accountability and transparency. But calling every single person who doesn't agree with your narrative a racist? Absolutely not. That is entirely unacceptable.
I'll say it again, just in case you missed it the first time. Black lives do indeed matter.

"People disagree with me... I'd better call them racist!" - You
It's comical coming from the race-obsessed cult.

Op is a vile racist. take your hate and implied calls for violence out of here. You should be banned for such evil oppressive writings. You excel in argumentation through logical fallacies leaving me to conclude you are a pretender of academia. The whole post argues through assertion with no basis in fact or sourcing to back up your pablum.
If you are "educated" it is obvious in your writing you have been so well beyond the capacity of your intellect. Take your falsehoods elsewhere. We do not need any more hatred or racist ideology in our public discussion, especially yours which attempts to hide behind a type of argumentum ad populum feigning discourse when in fact all you are doing is inciting more evil.

Check out the DONATE page on blacklivesmatter.com , it takes you to actblue.com, which uses donations to support democratic campaigns. It is nothing more than political- regardless of how you feel about social issues or lack there of.

And roost, blaming a generalized group of people for racism, and saying falatious things as academia debunking coloblindness in the context of respect with no source is both political and racist. I believe you are angry or guilty about something and this is not chaff slavery or excessive police force. Its you budy.
