Discord not functioning correctly on Microsoft Surface

The Discord application does not function correctly on the Microsoft Surface. Tapping on the screen does nothing, and Discord does not register any input. On Microsoft Surface Windows 10, most applications that are designed for Desktop are able to work on surface by detecting taps as clicks in a certain area, however Discord does not seem to be able to do this. The app is entirely nonfunctional. Interestingly, the website version of discord works as it should, presumably because Google Chrome is compatible with the touch interface and acts as a medium.
