How to improve the GIF Widget UX

Currently there is a huge problem with the way the GIF widget is working on discord, and that is that is just doesn't work on Desktop at all within Safari, and when I just checked in the app on an iPhone 6s, it doesn't show up there at all. 

While the gif widget functions perfectly as intended on a Chrome environment, on safari it simply doesn't scroll what so ever.

My suggestions to improve it would to either have it as a pop up modal that is fully functional with scroll, or to simply fix the bug and make sure it performs on all browsers.
