Nicknames in direct messages
My friends and I are constantly commenting on how we wish we could have nicknames in our direct message groupchats. How hard would this be to implement?? Why is it not available?

They are direct messages, and nicknames are unique to a guild, I don't see a point in setting a nickname when you are messaging each other.

It’s less for practical reasons and more a part of the experience that we enjoy in servers and really miss in smaller group chats, but I can see it being genuinely useful for roles in those group chats as well... in my circles we do quite a bit of small-grouping in the DMs because we don’t see a need for an entire server if there are only a handful of us, but we miss the nickname element the most

yesyes please it would be so cool, same with pfp's it would be nice if we could change them depending on what server we are in or what dm/group!
