File Upload - double-click

Give me one actually good reason why I should now have to double-click the upload button. Just one. It doesn't do anything on single-click, so it at least *seems* like it only exists to be annoying.

  It would be one thing if you could do multiple things once you click the upload button, but there's only one option which defeats the point of double clicking.

  At one point, I noticed the double-click only occurred while I was listening to Spotify. Now it always happens, which is extremely annoying since it's more often than not just the one option (upload a file). I'd rather be unable to invite people to listen with me on Spotify than have to double-click to share files every time.
