Threads are way too complicated; We need a way to disable them

I'm working in an organization that is considering moving to Discord from email for discussions between board meetings. The main complaint that people have about email is "there's too many email threads for us to keep track of so I can't be properly informed when attending meetings" so adding the threads to channels kinda completely defeats the entire point of moving away from email. Please make it so that server admins can disable threads entirely on their servers so that channels can stay a pure single stream of text. By having messages be broken up into threads, information and conversations will be much harder for people to catch up on before entering meetings just like it is with email. Please let us preserve the main advantage Discord has for situations like ours by letting server admins disable threads.
