Archiving Group DMs (i.e. closing group chats without leaving them)

I've seen some posts about this from a couple years back and just wanted to reintroduce the idea incase it's been put into some basement storage and forgotten about...

I think discord really should have the option to archive group DMs which would essentially entail closing the group DM but not necessarily leaving it. I know a lot of people like having their discord DMs cleaned out and not cluttered and the fact that we can't close group DMs without leaving them gets in the way of this... especially when there is already the option to close individual DMs, why not be able to close group DMs?

A possible way of doing this archive is when pressing the 'x' to leave the group DM, it gives the option of leaving or archiving. If you choose the archive option, then the group DM is gone from your DMs list, but you haven't left the group DM and you haven't lost the content in it. Also, to retrieve the group DM without needing someone to send a message in it, it could simply be in an archives tab under 'Direct Messages', or you could retrieve it with the '+' button (which represents create DM) that is next to the 'Direct Messages' heading.

P.S this is all referring to the home screen (the screen you go to when you click the 'Home' grey discord button on the top left of your screen)

TL;DR please add the option to silently close group chats without leaving them!!!
