Leaving the service + seeking alternative communication services until crypto integration is walked back

I'm staunchly against cryptocurrency from many perspectives: environmental, financial, as a hobby artist and soon-to-graduate student in software eng. In general, allowing any kind of cryptocurrency integration is effectively one more step towards normalizing crypto, a practice rife with fraud, questionable legality, concerning support from the oil industry, and massive environmental destruction. I have zero faith in the system, and do not believe it will ever improve. 

I truly enjoy using Discord, and have considered purchasing Nitro several times. My school's carbon neutrality club actually uses Discord as it's main communication hub and pays to boost its server with Nitro. I will be alerting them to this change.The possibility of cryptocurrency integration (even if it is just a link to one's wallet) is enough to make me lose faith in the company. It's important to me that this integration does not go through, and I will promptly seek alternative communication routes for my online communities and encourage others to follow suit unless this change is walked back.
