I will cancel my subscription, and encourage my friends to do the same if NFTs are brought on

I have been a loyal user of Discord ever since the great Skype migration, and in recent times have upgraded to Nitro for additional benefits. I have even gifted Nitro to friends several times.
I will just as quickly and just as happily take my money elsewhere if NFTs are implemented, and will utilize other messaging platforms here on out.

Our planet needs our help. NFTs have been proven to produce insane levels of pollution due to the resources they require, and this is the last thing we need in our current changing climate.
I have already firsthand witnessed the impact of climate change in my once beautiful, countryside childhood town, that has been experiencing unseen scorching summers and frigid winters that we never had before. It breaks my heart to think back on childhood memories and notice the huge and most certainly negative difference in the ecosystem around me, and knowing it was caused by mankind and their pursuit of empty wealth.

I am terrified for our future, and I am terrified of what this level of capitalistic greed will mean further down the line. I am barely in my twenties, and I want to be able to live my fullest life on a planet that wasn't destroyed by humanity's selfishness. In another twenty years, I want to be able to look back on my childhood home with fondness, and not heartbreak over what was lost.

Please reconsider this choice, and think instead of being an advocate for our planet.
Discord is a huge and popular platform.
You have the power to make big waves by putting your foot down for helping the planet, speaking against the damages of NFTs, and make your existing clientele that much more loyal, versus pushing them away like this for the sake of an extra padded wallet.
