NFT integration is a terrible idea

I don't usually throw in my two cents for stuff like this, but if discord moves forward with NFT integration/support of any kind in the future, I will be looking for another platform to use instead. if you're reading this post and you agree, please upvote it and comment your own thoughts!

I was really happy with discord before this, honestly! it's a very useful and versatile platform which I've built countless friendships, communities, and memories on over the past several years. I have enjoyed many of the useful features that have been added to discord in the past, some big ones being screen sharing, the ease and versatility of server setup and management, image/text spoilering, etc. and there were some future updates I'd heard about which I was really looking forward to. I was hoping to upgrade to nitro myself soon. but NFTs are an environmental nightmare, not to mention completely meaningless and borderline a literal scam. discord has enough issues with scams and scambots already and discord does not need to sully its brand by aligning itself with these things. do better than that, please.
