  a clumsy patch workaround:

  . . here's an indent.
  . . all I need to do to make one — is to put a dot in the beginning of a paragraph, and then follow it with several spaces, until at last the text itself starts.

  EDIT: I've added the extra dots here, bc unlike discord itself, this forum doesn't allow for multiple spaces in a row.
