Turning Off DMs for Friends Setting

Hello! I'm sure many of us want to focus on a Discord server/chat and want to ignore DMs. Discord did an amazing job having users turn off direct messages from server members but sometimes we have Discord friends we don't want to talk to at times. So I'm requesting an "Allow direct messages from Discord friends" setting that we can turn on and off at will. It gets annoying repeatedly having to remove a friend just because I do not want to talk to a person at the time. Some even make me feel guilty for doing so even though I had already made it clear I did not want to talk in DMs. So I would love this feature to be added to make things easier.
