Additional Nitro boost purchases

I was wondering if Nitro boosts were one time purchases that expire after a month or if once you bought them they were a permanently expendable boost that you can use forever. I also wanted to suggest that if it isn't a one time payment that adds additional boosts for  that it probably should be.
