Desktop client takes over 50% CPU while in background

The discord client for Windows 10 is taking over 50% CPU usage while in an idle state, a very high percentage that will undoubtedly affect other programs. Here is a screenshot that I took that showcases that the Client is idle, but taking over 50% of the CPU usage.
