Usability Suggestions
Hello. Been using Discord for over a year, and have a few feature requests to make using it easier
1. The long-press menu on a Message Name should include a "Close" option on the mobile app. Currently, to close a message, one must open the message, click the user's name, click the menu then click the close button. I get dozens of messages all the time I'd like to close quickly, and this is a nuisance to do on the mobile app. Thankfully the desktop app and website can be done with one click of the X button.
2. Enable swiping to view the previous or next enlarged photo, especially when multiple photos are included in the same post. Currently, one has to close the photo then scroll and click to view the next photo.
3. Enable viewing full quality (full resolution) photos within the mobile and desktop apps. Currently one must click the thumbnail, then click the download button or "Open Original", having the user leave Discord for another application. Perhaps have a FQ (or HQ) button overlay next to the download button, or auto-load full quality when someone clicks on a thumbnail. This is especially helpful when trying to read text that has been downsized to a lower resolution.
4. Make it clear that support.discord.com uses a different account/password. The login page simply says to log into Discord, which fails when using one's existing Discord credentials.
Thanks so much!
Cheers!
