Random Deafening but no sound to indicate, and no icon in vc.

I play games with my friends, and I CONSTANTLY have a problem where I get randomly deafened, but it's not as if discord deafens me, but some other strange thing happens where I cannot hear my friends until either a random amount of time has passed and I regain sound without any kind of notification, or I manually disconnect and reconnect. This has been happening for years and I still have not found a fix.
