New animations and transitions cannot be removed
I just opened discord to see that there has been a visual update for android. This new updates includes such changes as "Everything is now animated and transitiony including sending text" with such animations staying enabled even when Reduce Animations is turned on in the accessibility settings
- Upon typing text, the Send button slides in from the side and the Add Attachment button slides out of view. If all the text is deleted, the text button slides away
- Upon closing the keyboard, if there's no text in the box, the add attachment button slides back into view and the "Message #channel" textbox slides over to make space
- Filling a row with text causes everything to slide upward to make room for the next line
- Tap on the hamburger menu at the top right and the lower menu bar slides up into view
- Tap on search and the search menu fades into view. Going back causes it to fade out of view
- Tap on an image to view it fullscreen, and it fades into view. Press the back button and it slides downward out of view
- Select certain menu items and the menu fades into the next section
- and more! As I try to use discord, I keep encountering new ways that animations and motion have been added
There's this feature in the developer options of every android phone I've seen called "Transition animation scale" Setting this to OFF used to solve these problems for me, but the new update apparently ignores this setting entirely. I guess being "fancy and animated" is more important than accessibility for people who require reduced animations

The fancy animations are also driving me nuts! It's very hard to look at, and I looked for ways to turn it off but found nothing.
It seems unreasonable for there to be an option to keep emoji from animating, but not to disable the new UI's "fancy" animation.

Support. You're supposed to be able to disable these animations anyway, so why aren't they being disabled?
