Discord, what are you DOING to your App?
It seems every update you release breaks the App further and further. This last update broke nearly everything. I am seriously considering moving to Guilded as everything I liked within Discord is now a problem. I see tons of people talking about the same issues, and many more within Discord itself who simply haven't bothered posting about it here. But all of us share the same input. These updates have been TERRIBLE. From previous updates - The reply is odd, gotten used to it, but I still think the old one was better. The UI has changed like every update and it seems like it always feels worse than before. The giftbox by the chat bar is completely unnecessary for probably more than 3 quarters of the people that use discord. Stickers are pointless, feels like vintage MSN before uploadable gifs were a thing. But it's an extra and it's not in the way, so it is fine. The font and text size keeps shifting. Now it is in a position the names seem too big to me or the text seems too big or too small, even if you adjust in settings. This happened in last update but also this update changed it more. The Threads feature was odd. I've grown to like it, but I still feel there is a much better way to implement something like that. It makes server channel lists cluttered. The removed special characters from channel names so you can't do spaces anymore makes everyones server blend the same, it is way too default for me and removing customizability is ALWAYS a bad thing. Probably other stuff I've forgot about. And in this update, the gif search is now inconveniently way at the top of the phone rather than where you type. Gifs are wonky, and everything barely loads across the board. Gifs I send myself don't load for me. roles keep randomly disappearing, my text has been merging with other peoples text, random things you'd see when you are on a slow server. Maybe most of that will fix. but yet, some of it seems like it was intentional. The Gifs still are broken. The way text and stuff displays is very odd and feels off. Things that normally would preload when I go out of the app and back in, now have to load. the UI changed again and doesn't feel right. There's a lot of unnecessary space by where you type now and at the header. Can't pin point exactly what it is but it feels off as well and like I'm seeing less of the chats when scrolling through. I can't zoom in pictures anymore, they just minimize. also not as free as before when zooming. And then all my servers refreshed and it removed all my frequent emojis and other small things. As well as my server I use for business is now completely ruined. Every channel name is cut in half and unreadable. The "Edit Message" and "Reply" swapped positions for some reason. I got massive spam from friends sending messages, because now it pings you for that. Thank god it had a setting and I turned it off immediately. And several other things I probably haven't mentioned. So to summarize, it is broke as hell, customization continues to get removed, and it is becoming more and more inconvenient and downright irritating to use the app. The only reason I haven't gone to Guilded yet is because my friends still bear with using discord and haven't made the switch yet. You are ruining your app. Let people revert to older versions and allow more customization. I don't know what you keep doing to your fonts especially but no one asked for those changes and they are bad and continually server-breaking. People really liked how I put together my server, it was very clean and readable and organized. And now it is the worst looking server I am in. Just stop, for real. Like, if you reverted the last 2 updates and never touched discord at all anymore, that would literally probably HELP you have a better app than needlessly changing and breaking everything.
And just for reference on how badly it broke my server, here is an image of it. What am I supposed to do with this?

OH DAMN... And I thought I had it bad w/ the new UI!
Thank you for addressing the other features as well. Now that you mention it, I never was a fan of the gift box, OR the stickers... At least the stickers aren't super intrusive, but I like my apps uncluttered.
If someone wants to buy Nitro for a friend, they could just do so from their subscription menu. Nobody's buying Nitro for everybody on impulse; buying Nitro for someone is an intentional act, and not one used every day, so it doesn't warrant a shortcut. I myself bought Nitro for a pal recently. It def isn't an everyday thing, and I'd rather not risk tapping it accidentally. Makes me worry about folks with clumsier thumbs than I.
(The "greet x user" sticker prompt also annoys me. If I wanted to greet them, I'd just do it myself or use a "hi!" reaction emoji.)
Threads I've made peace with (kind of), and the reply system took some getting used to but has provided a convenient way for me to set up a shortcut for folks to quickly "scroll up" to the top of a menu. So, I have no issue w/ that personally, especially in busy convos where there's a lot of chatter going on.
On the topic of unnecessary features: there *was* another fairly useless, semi-recent update that let people have text channels inside their voice chats, but I still make my own text channels for people to chat in during voice chat - and many of my friends do too. The being able to chat within voice itself just feels unnecessary (gotta tap extra buttons to get there, and sometimes I enjoy reading text backlogs without joining the voice channel itself) but again, at least it's unintrusive.
Been able to make peace with all the other updates, though. But THIS one... This one is a disaster - plain and simple. I haven't experienced any major technical faults, but it's difficult to look at.
I wish the team in charge of the UI, coding, etc. wouldn't try "fixing" things that aren't broken.

I haven't had the new update for very long, nor have I used the app much so far, but I'm not really liking the new update either. There is something just really jarring about the UI and I'm not entirely sure what it is.
I use the mobile app a lot and these are all the issues I've had just in one afternoon:
- The UI just looks off to me, as if there is extra space around certain areas that wasn't there before.
- The text bugs out, or when I start typing the text in the box is magnified and a slightly different size from the rest of the display text.
- The upload image bounce is really hard on my eyes and throws me off every time I try to send an image, and sometimes the image-select preview pops in and out - adding to the negative effects of me looking at the screen
- The new-message preview that pops up in-app is now INCREDIBLY distracting with that moving, bright green bar. Once again, it's really hard on my eyes and just adds an unnecessary thing to focus on.
- I also don't like how cluttered the image upload part is now with the "view all", "camera", and "thread" options. It just seems like a lot of things all in one place
- For some reason the mobile update reset my notification settings and I can't figure out how to disable the sound alert without blocking ALL notifications from the app in my main phone settings.
Overall this new update has made everything a lot more inaccessible for me. I don't think I've ever had this many bad experiences all at once that affected me so much.

I've had multiple issues with the app, including but not limited to:
- General Lag. Some messages I've recieve on my desktop wont even show up in dms unless I close and reopen it.
- Emojis and channels won't hyperlink when you type them correctly, so you dont know if it's typed right or wrong.
- Scroll speed when hoping between "new messages" channels in servers is way too fast and is disorienting
- Pressing the +25 new messages at the top of the channel will only reveal more new messages if the channel was talked in a lotI've had members of servers I've been running complaining about font size as well, though that's a minor issue for me.
Even if these were able to be changed in an accessibility menu I'd appreciate it better, but overall I just wish Discord would roll back the update. There's way too many issues with this update for it to stay.
