WHAT IS BOBBLE BASH?
Bobble Bash is an Activity developed by Discord. It is a tabletop point collection game, where players bash their way between obstacles to score and win. Think shuffleboard meets bumper cars. Similar to Bobble League, the game features turn-based strategy and physics.
!PHOTO AND MOTION SENSITIVITY WARNING!
This game contains motion that might cause discomfort or motion sickness. You can zoom out for a steady camera or disable the camera shake in the options menu!
STARTING BOBBLE BASH
There are many different ways you can launch Bobble Bash in the Discord app for you and your friends! Whether in a server’s voice channel, in a direct message (DM), or a group message you can check out Activities on Discord for instructions on how to start any Activity.
Before starting any Discord Activity on the desktop app, please make sure to turn on Hardware Acceleration in User Settings > Advanced.
HOW TO PLAY BOBBLE BASH
These instructions may look slightly different on mobile devices.
1. After launching the game, vote on a series to play by selecting a series icon.
Three of the five series will appear on the screen for players to vote on. Each series has four levels for you to bash your way through to victory. The Random Series is a selection of four levels from any of the series.
There is a limit of 8 active players in Bobble Bash. Once 8 players have voted, a “Game is full'' message will appear. If all player slots are full, extra players can watch the game as spectators.
2. Once at least one player votes on a series, the countdown timer starts. When it reaches zero, anyone who has voted will be taken to the first level of the game.
Players who would like to spectate can opt out of voting and will automatically be transitioned into the spectator queue once the game starts. If a spectator wishes to join a game in progress, they can press the Join Game button and will start playing at the start of the next level in the series.
3. The goal of the game is to move your Bobble and collect the most points! Click (or tap) and drag to aim your Bobble in the direction you would like for it to launch. The color and length of your aim arrow reflect the strength and distance of your move.
Players gain points by collecting diamonds, gems, and stars. Points are also awarded when colliding with obstacles and other players. Certain levels have specific goals or waypoints that will earn you points as well!
4. At the end of each level, bonus points are randomly awarded based on specific actions - or inactions - taken by players during the game.
5. The player with the most points at the end of each level will win that level, and the player with the most points at the end of the series will be crowned Grand Champion and will be given a victory crown that will appear over their avatar for the duration of the next series.
6. In the Bobble Bash homepage or while in a game, players can view their stats by selecting My Stats in the upper right-hand corner. Anyone’s stats are accessible by selecting a player’s avatar.
Participating players see their stats at the end of a series, and spectators will see the Grand Champion’s stats.
7. Need a refresher of how to play the game? Select the cogwheel in the top right corner and then press on How To for instructions.
