What is ICYMI?
The ICYMI (or In Case You Missed It) tab allows you to catch up on server messages, activities, and more that you might have missed while you weren’t actively using Discord.
Your ICYMI tab will display the following: Recently played activity from friends, status updates, recent messages or announcements in servers, and more!
How to edit which Servers or Server Channels appear in your ICYMI
If there is a specific server or channel that you want to see more or less of in your ICYMI feed, you can make adjustments through the settings on the ICYMI tab.
1. While in the ICYMI tab, tap on the filters icon [] in the top-right corner.
2. Tap on Adjust Server/Channel Recommendations.
3. Pick which server you want to make adjustments for by tapping on it.
4. You can completely remove a server from displaying in ICYMI by toggling Show content in ICYMI, or you can adjust how much information from a server is displayed on ICYMI by selecting one of the following:
- See Less: You will see less content from this server.
- Good As Is: With this selected your settings will stay the same.
- See More!: You will see more content from this server.
5. If you tap on a specific channel, you can edit these settings for each channel, or toggle Show content in ICYMI to completely disable this channel from showing.
6. You can go through each server and adjust the settings based on your preferences.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is my feed empty?
A: When you first access the ICYMI tab, it may take up to 5 minutes for your first feed to generate and it may take 30 minutes for content to be available from all your servers.
Q: Is this feature only available on the mobile app?
A: Yes, ICYMI is only available on the iOS version of our mobile application.
Q: Can I disable ICYMI?
A: Yes. Tap on your avatar in the bottom-right corner. Then tap on the cogwheel [] in the top-right to access User Settings. Press on Advanced and then tap the toggle next to Hide ICYMI tab at the bottom.
