In order to redeem this trial, we have a few requirements you'll need to meet first:

You have not redeemed any trial or discount in the past three months
You have not canceled your Nitro subscription in the past 30 days
Your Discord account must be more than 30 days old
You do not have an active Nitro, Nitro Classic, or Nitro Basic subscription or any active Nitro Credits
You don’t have a Server Boost-only subscription
You don’t currently have any active trial or discount offers

Deadline for Promo: If eligible, you will receive this offer by logging onto the Discord desktop app or browser client by May 23, 2025 (5:00PM PT). The promotion will automatically be granted to your account if you qualify.

Important: If you purchase a subscription during your free trial week, your paid subscription will start right away and replace your trial. You won't be able to use any remaining trial days. For example, if you buy a subscription three days into your trial, you'll switch to the paid subscription immediately rather than finishing the last four days of your trial. If you earn a one-day Nitro reward from completing a Quest while your one-week trial is active, the one-day reward will replace your remaining trial time. This means your trial will end, and you'll receive only the one-day of Nitro instead of your remaining trial days.

How to Redeem

Info: Eligible users can start their free one-week Nitro trial as soon as they log into the Discord desktop app or browser client. Though the trial must be received through the desktop app or browser client, users can enjoy all Nitro features on both desktop, browser, and mobile devices afterwards.

After the initial free trial expires, you can receive an additional bonus one-week trial of Nitro by adding a payment method and selecting a Nitro subscription. After your bonus trial week ends, your plan will convert to a paid subscription, unless cancelled. This gives you the opportunity to enjoy two weeks of Nitro trials in total!

During the bonus week trial, you can manage your subscription settings through your User Settings > Nitro. If you don’t cancel your subscription during your bonus week trial, your subscription will convert to a paid subscription for the plan selected. Learn more in the cancellation guide here.

A: No, the trial can only be claimed through the Discord desktop app or web client. However, once you've claimed the trial on desktop, you'll be able to enjoy all Nitro features across both desktop and mobile devices.

Q: I don't see the trial offer or did not receive it. Why?

A: This trial is subject to eligibility restrictions. If you do not see the trial on your account, this indicates that you are not eligible at this time. Please note that the Discord support team is not able to bypass eligibility restrictions.

Q: What happens if I purchase a subscription during my free trial?

A: Your paid subscription will begin immediately, replacing your trial. Any remaining trial days will be forfeited. For instance, if you purchase a subscription on day three of your trial, you'll immediately switch to the paid subscription instead of using your remaining four trial days.

Q: What happens if I complete a Quest and earn Nitro during my one-week trial?
If you earn a one-day Nitro reward from completing a Quest while your one-week trial is active, the one-day reward will replace your remaining trial time. This means your trial will end, and you'll receive only the one-day of Nitro instead of your remaining trial days.

Q: What features are limited during the free trial?

A: During the free Nitro trial period, there are some limitations compared to a paid subscription:

The two Server Boosts and the 30% off any additional future Boost purchases that normally come with paid Nitro are not included
You cannot purchase additional Server Boosts
You will not receive the Nitro Badge
You will not be eligible for the Share Nitro offer
