Allow PDF viewing or atleast dont make the user download it everytime
Hi, I run a server for my college mates because we don't have a platform where the material is nearly organized. However, one thing that is making it frustrating for everyone is discord not only cant open the pdf file and view it in the app, but it also just redownloads it everytime even if the user had downloaded it a hundred times before. This is tedious, annoying and just making the experience harder for everyone. It's supposed to be a place where people can get all the materials they want in one neat platform but this one thing is making it barely useful. I'd really hope if discord atleast makes another app handle the pdf viewing but just check if the file already exists so as to not download it each time. Thanks

Allowing PDF viewing on a website or application can be done through the use of a PDF viewer library or plugin. Some popular options include:
-
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC: This is a widely used PDF viewer that can be integrated into a website or application to allow users to view PDFs without having to download them.
-
Mozilla PDF.js: This is an open-source PDF viewer that can be integrated into a website or application to allow users to view PDFs without having to download them.
-
Google Docs Viewer: This is a free online service that can be used to view PDFs on a website without having to download them.
-
Microsoft Office Online: This service allows users to view and edit PDFs online without having to download them.
-
PDFObject: This is a JavaScript library that allows you to embed PDFs in HTML pages without having to use an external viewer.
By using one of these options, you can enable users to view PDFs directly on your website or application, without having to download them every time.
