Cheers for the new font! It's great, but please consider giving users choice, and also consider releasing it as open source.

I really like the new gg sans font, so I wanted to give a thumbs-up in the face of what seems to be a lot of negative feedback. In fact, I like it enough that I'd like to possibly use it elsewhere, I hope you guys reconsider your stance on not having it be open source (yes, I read the FAQ. :) )

That said, fonts are like pizza toppings, you can't please everyone. I don't see that it would hurt much to leave gg sans as the new default but let people switch back to the old font (or even use their own font if they prefer).
