Ability to @ mention those who have opted to see a channel via Browse Channels
TLDR: Request for a mentionable group (like @channel) that only pings those who have opted to see the channel via Browse Channels.
Before migrating my community server to use the Channels & Roles / Community Onboarding we had ~40 channels locked behind individual roles. Now we only have a few roles, and we let people hide/show channels via Browse Channels instead (which is a much more elegant solution). However occasionally we want to do an @everyone ping to alert users of a specific channel about something, without bothering the majority of server members who have opted to hide that channel.
Currently the only way to achieve this is to add a unique role back in (potentially for every channel/category) and have people opt into it via Channels & Roles. Then if there's a minor announcement we can mention that role. This seems like a step backwards for something we only occasionally need to do. Instead it would be nice if there was a mentionable group (similar to @everyone and @here) that only pings those who have opted to see the channel.

You can use onboarding for that. It lets you setup picking access to specific channels/roles in a similar way as Browse Channels works.
Example from a server which uses it:

Currently it's only available to community servers with over 5000 members, but they should hopefully increase the availability in the future.

I'm aware of that functionality, and we do use that for some of our news/announcement channels so people can opt into a pingable role. Along with normal use case of grabbing cosmetic roles.
However it would be nice to avoid creating another 40+ roles (one for each individual channel), while making 40 unique buttons in Customization Questions, just for the off chance we may want to mention all the people in that channel specifically without tagging everyone who doesn't care about that specific channel.
