Discord should implement native in-client advertising.

Discord should allow people to purchase advertisement spots within the app, perhaps allowing server owners to mark specific channels as safe for advertisers. 

Ads could be shown natively in the message view at specific intervals as messages marked with "AD", on top of the member list, below the server name, or as a bar on top of the client.

This would be a great opportunity for server owners to monetize their servers, and for Discord to make some extra revenue.

Nitro users should of course be exempted from seeing the advertisements.

Please consider this, it would greatly benefit advertisers and server owners.

    What? No, the entire reason discord blew up in 2016 was because they literally stated themselves "f**k advertisments." So many people would leave Discord as a platform, and there would be no one to advertise to anyway! Plus, if you really want to advertise your server, you do so on other platforms or on DISBOARD. Ads on Discord is a horrible idea.
