Remove Super Reactions as Default React
Super reactions are mediocre at best, but the amount of uses that they have are really limiting. When one's used accidentally, when you're trying to do something like a react poll or reaction roles, it messes up the system a lot. Also the animation when you're not expecting it is an inconvenience. Since if you use a super react and try to remove it, it's impossible without removing all reactions, it messes up anything with bots or management that's reaction-based.

It's way too easy to accidentally use them, I agree. I also hate that it counts down from your total usage of Super Reactions when you accidentally use one and take it away. If you take it away, it shouldn't count as deducting from your total. I want to use them sometimes (I guess, they're a pretty meh feature overall to me) so not having them because they all got used on accident is pretty lame.

Would honestly like an option to hide the super react button entirely. Keep bumping it because it's in the same spot on the UI as the normal react button used to be (which also, most annoyingly, eats one of the old 'quick recent reaction' slots), and I even used one of the stupid things by mistake in a DM with a friend. There's literally another button in the reactions screen to get to them; there's no need to have a separate button clogging up the chat.
Add it to the growing list of pointless features contributing to Discord's growing collection of bugs with every update.6 -
The animation is not just an inconvenience, but a safety hazard - I get migraines from flashing lights, which are present in some of the animations, and currently there is no way to disable it.
Discord's support staff apologized for the fact that there's no workaround when I literally cannot use their program on my computer right now. Never should have been implemented in that way.

I get so frustrated when using discord on mobile bc the button is where the react button has been for YEARS. And I even tried just wasting all the SRs, hoping it would hide the button until I had news ones to waste, but no. Instead it just pops up a useless message about how I'm out of SRs. Either switch them around in the UI or give me the option to hide them completely. I don't even like them.

It appears that Discord has decided to swap the positions of the React and Super React buttons, restoring the position of the normal react button, but this doesn't solve the problem of it eating a recent reacts slot. I would very much appreciate a setting to hide the button entirely in favor of returning my old recent react slot, and I'm certain others would agree.

Lovely news to everyone. It seems Discord has removed the Super React button from the ‘recent reacts’ section, and relegated the “super reacts” into the background where they belong. Hallelujah!
