Discord: “Due to our strict policy”

—> Because of our stubbornness to admit and fix our flawed system.

Hilarious that Discord insists on protecting user security through their “strict policies” yet issues like this occur daily now.

And now they don’t even bother responding.

    Hello,

I sent some tickets to the Discord-Support regarding my Discord-Account which i created back in 2019, I sent them all details which are associated to my Discord Account, told them the whole situation, and the only response I got was, "You need access to your email address to complete the required verification." or "Unfortunately, you would need to create a new account." even tho I sent them a ticket with the email which is associated to my Discord account and some contact details to reach out to me.

I tried everything to verify that I am the owner of my Discord-Account, but they don't want to compare the data.

Sadly, the email which is associated to my Discord-Account is deleted, and I can't access nor recover it anymore. They won't even try reach out to me and help me, they just say they can't help me because of "data privacy and their security regulations".

They won't even try to find a solution.

This iIt's a complete failure, they blocked my account for nothing, I wasn't active on the discord and disabled it for no reason

This was the exact thing that Im currently fighting with Discord about. The inability to recover accounts is paramount to criminal negligence. They are trying to have people put in requests to delete the account to prop up their new user numbers, to look good on paper to investors and sponsors; all while screwing over users.

I had a shitty update from Discord not only force update but boot me out of every app and logged Discord was logged, even my back up authenticator with the token to save my codes, it reactivated a disabled 2FA which I personally disabled because its faulty and Discord is refusing to recover the account.

I have Nitro receipts dating back to when they first started, the accounts creation email saved with the original link. Not once have support asked for verification of who I am. It took 4 weeks for a response only to get a scripted response telling me I have to create a new account and put in a request to have to old one deleted. I'm the admin and creator of 3 different Discord channels, yet deleting the account leaves those discord channels in the dust because no one else manages them even though each has an active community of over 500 members, this means they are now dead communities because of this.

Discord will not help you, your best best is to hound them on social media and down vote and shit on their presence. All that negative media will force them to start acting as company image is everything today. Even go on to LinkedIn, message the Director of Discord and the staff, by-pass the automated scripts of the non helpful support and have them do something.

If Discord deletes your account without your consent then they are liable to legal action as well as a refund for all the Nitro Boosts you made. As you personally didn't ask them to do so. Only way to make a company like this act is to force their hand into the only option is to do the job they are supposed to.

Do not under any circumstance respond or seek a hacker to get back your account, you'll see people on social media post about it, speak to xyz for them to recover the account. This will put you in breach of the T&S of Discord and be grounds for them to ban you and delete the account.

There is a way around the 2FA that Discord uses, I know this for a fact. Discord is just negligent and has no actual real tech support, so if your best best like I suggested to message their Software Engineers through LinkedIn Directly and have them respond and look into it. If they have brains they will know the work around and help you, if they don't they are either lying about their skills and have no clue or just lazy.
