The new username system is actively harmful.
The username system, as it currently is, makes Discord one of the most private ways to contact friends in existence currently. There is no way to track a person down on Discord unless you have friends of friends who are willing to share information leading to you in a certain server. Making usernames on Discord, made up of abundantly PRIVATE communities and PRIVATE direct-messaging, into a unique name system completely ruins all of that. Many people I know and have seen on this website have expressed a genuine safety concern that people may use this new system to hunt down, harass, or abuse the people who's usernames they know.
This is a safety concern, not an inconvenience. Please, don't change it.

Zero merit for the user and nothing but problems. Seems like an objectively bad change to make to me. Cancelled my nitro

Didn't even think of this because I'm so used to it. +1
