During Covid my Discord Username used to be my second identity
When the pandemic hit and everyone was in lockdown I connected with a lot of people through discord, I was part of a huge Gaming clan of up to hundreds of people but because of Covid we we're all really close with each other spend a lot of time and because of that my Nickname wasn't just a some funny nickname anymore it grew to become something of my second identity I was, I am Moriy online and If you potentially also take away that part of me.

Please post concerns on the master post, too. Literally clog this site with posts about how garbage this change is with dozens of comments and upvotes on all of them and maybe they won't make this god awful change.
Especially when it affects people who use Discord for their life and business.

Totally agree. I'm immunocompromised and I live in America, so I still have to spend most of my time online instead of endangering myself by going out in public. All of my friends are online. And now discord is being stupid and changing who I am and who my friends are without us asking for that or wanting it.
