Vertical screen users

I run a 16:9 screen rotated vertical at 1080x1920. I am unable to see friend activity or "Active Now".

I have attached a screenshot to show what I am seeing.

This means that every time I fire up my PC and get on discord, to see what my friends are up to and if they are in server voice channels together, i have to drag discord onto my other screen so I can see what they are doing. I also found out the other day that I have to bring discord onto my regular landscape monitor in order to add new friends. This could really be improved, and would be a lot less annoying. Please help.
