Mobile Experimental UI
The experimental UI when you post a Sparkles emote, and then hold down on the sparkles inside the pop-up is simply unintuitive compared to what we have now. I have a few questions that really need answering for me to start even considering this a valid replacement for mobile discord in its current iteration.
Why are there more inputs required to see what servers you have messages in?
Why are you removing the Quality of Life implementations and features that the original application had, especially since it closely matched the functionality of the PC application before these experimental changes?
I'm already starting to get cold feet with a lot of the recent changes you're making, as a nitro subscriber I'm genuinely starting to consider other options for applications, and I'm trying really hard to be understanding of the recent changes as you are now a big company with a LOT of responsibilities; yet this just seems like an absolute all-around bad decision and I wanted to give my feedback after using it for some time.
As an aside, I also don't understand the necessity to remove the discriminators to make things easier as people are going to begin having more and more complex usernames just to be able to personalize themselves how they want as opposed to 9999 people being able to name themselves Josh; since only one person can have josh as a username now. Some nitro subscribers also genuinely only paid for this feature and were refused a refund, which is a very bad business practice to deny a refund for a feature becoming deprecated when it was promised as a feature of what you're paying for; which will definitely lead to them not wanting to spend money on this application in the future.
Overall I'm very disappointed with the Discord development team right now and I genuinely want to see some more work with the community as opposed to throwing darts in the dark, because Discord still has so much more potential to unlock but it just isn't there yet.
