Audio in Full Screen Sharing

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request the implementation of a new feature that would greatly enhance the desktop sharing experience on Discord—specifically, the addition of sound during screen sharing.

Currently, Discord offers an excellent platform for screen sharing, allowing users to collaborate, present, and troubleshoot together. However, the absence of audio during desktop sharing limits its functionality, especially when conducting remote meetings, online classes, or gaming sessions.

By introducing sound support to the desktop sharing screen, Discord would enable seamless communication and foster a more immersive user experience. This feature would allow participants to hear audio from shared applications, videos, and games, facilitating better understanding and engagement within the shared content.


I believe that the addition of sound in the desktop sharing screen would be highly valuable to the Discord community, enhancing collaboration and communication among users. It would provide a competitive edge for Discord as a versatile and comprehensive platform for various purposes.

    Did you consider to sumbit a feature request support ticket?

    Hello Ramez,

    I tried to submit a ticket to the developer, but there is no such a ticket about "Feature request".

    They told me to submit it in the "Feedback" --> "API" and that's what I did.
