Disable the Inactivity Disconnect on mobile (Android)
Hey!
So I've been having a lot of trouble lately (~ since beginning of 2020) with Discord and the feature that disconnects you when you are on phone in a call and inactive for too long. For a long time I thought there was an issue with either my phone or my wifi but after switching phone and router (+ updating, restarting, reinstalling, etc ofc) the problem remained the same.
After contacting DC support I was told that this is in fact a feature to save discord servers and possible mobile data of users.
Don't get me wrong, I think this is a good idea but it should be possible for users to disable this feature because it's many people that wanna stay connected even if they're "inactive" for a longer time.
In my case I'm in a ldr and in times of corona (or just in general) it's a great help to sleep on call with my girl (like many ldr couples do) and it's really frustrating to get disconnected every single night and therefore waking up without her.
I know that this feature is only a thing on Android since my gf doesn't have any problem with getting disconnected on iOs so this is just kinda pointless and I don't really understand why Discord would make it like this only for Android users. Kinda defeats the point of saving servers/data if Apple doesn't even get this feature anyways?!
Tldr: Please disable the "Inactivity disconnect" for Android or make it so users can choose to disable this feature. Getting disconnected while in a call over night sucks.
Thank you and stay safe people!

I would like this disabled too. It's incredibly frustrating not just for sleeping on calls, but even when I'm actively talking AND streaming video I get randomly disconnected. I am 100% sure this is not my phone or network connection. I own multiple phones and have tried my, and a couple of my neighbors routers and internet, keeps happening between each device.
