Is there a way to hide connections from blocked people/only show to friends?
I personally think Discord is great. I love their service, and use it to connect to almost all my friends and some family. I used to stream, but I stopped, and have recently had the urge to start again. However, between then and now, I have run into unsavory folk I would rather not talk to. I have them blocked.
Discord has a neat feature where you can link different accounts to your Discord profile, and can even hide/show them to everyone. But those are the only two options. You either hide your connections from everyone, or everybody gets to see your connections. For me, the fear of people I've blocked/avoided using my connections to my gaming and social media outlets scares me, as I don't want them following me there and harassing me. Needless to say, I have my connections all hidden for this reason.
I tested with a friend, and blocking someone still lets them view any and all connections, ie my Steam ID, Twitter, and Twitch. This may not bother others, but it does kind of make me sad at Discord. It seems to block someone merely makes it harder for them to communicate over messages, but does little in terms of keeping them away.
I would propose the changes that
1. A blocked person loses access to viewing the person that blocked them's connections on their profile.
2. A person can change their connections visibility to different amounts. I propose three levels: Friends Only- Only added friends can see your connections. Select Servers- You can enable/disable connections to be shown/hidden on certain servers. Everyone- This is the current only option, but should still be included in the options.
Once again, I say this only with the user's security and safety in mind. With these methods, it will make it harder for people that get blocked to remain a nuisance on other platforms and keeps them to Discord unless they implement more dedicated means. I feel that if a person is getting bullied/stalked, and a person is dedicated enough, they will simply make a second account and join a server, in which case the friends only connection would prove to be very beneficial as long as they are selective of their friends.
Thank you for reading, please take this into consideration, and I hope to hear back somehow soon.

I totally agree. A friends-only option for connections should honestly have been included automatically.

+1 to this suggestion. I'm honestly surprised this isn't part of Discord by default. Seems like such a silly oversight to something that can significantly increase protection and privacy. Hopefully this will be looked at some time in the future.

Came to post this as a new topic, will bump this one. Looking to connect more with friends on Discord, hate joining a new server and getting doxxed.

Definitely bumping this one.
This is a must have.Like privacy settings.
Eventually for each server you are in.Like, on my private friends discord i am fine with showing my connections / linked accounts. On a public discord with tons of members, i am not.
