Someone found a way to make your Windows Defender freak out about images in the Cache.
I accidentally deleted everything I was writing this so I'll get straight to the point this time
The way Discord works is it caches every image, video, and gif to something called the Discord Cache
Someone maybe 3 weeks ago found a way to crash or freeze your Discord, I'm imagining by sending a million things to Cache, overloading your Discord or something.
Now, someone has found a way to freak out your Windows Defender by making it seem like something sent to the Discord Cache is a Trojan virus, when its really nothing.
Now this is still bad because it will scare the heck out of anyone who doesn't know what's going on, like my friend.
It can also be extremely annoying for those who have had this happen to them a lot, and/or know what's going on, because Windows Defender still thinks its a Trojan, so the user will still have to quarantine and remove it.
Its a pretty big issue if you ask me, and knowing the internet, they just love messing with people.
To avoid the issue for now, try and stay away from any Discords you don't trust, like public ones, and/or just use Discord on your phone for the time being.

If you look it up, you can find a bunch of Reddit threads of it happening to other users, so this is a real issue.

Maybe report it to Discord Support team.

this happens when u post a certain emoji. its not malware. it just contains a malicious code that triggers your anti virus.

exactly what emoji triggers the antivirus?

Its not really an emoji. There are different versions of it like a PNG file or a gif.

I've not been able to figure out which png or gif or emoji it is, but at least it's good to know that it's a false positive
