Even browser discord crashes my computer ;P

Every time I log into discord on browser and especially the PC app, my computer hates me. It starts to crash, freeze if I try to use google (chrome browser), listen to music, use a word document program, log into a game, etc. I essentially use discord, log-off, have turned off auto-start, restart my computer in order to do anything else on my computer. This is not occasionally upon an update, this is every single time. If I need to game and use discord, I must use discord on my phone. I have an i5 core processor so how many processes does discord use???
