Constant beeping on Windows 10

The sound notification for messages shouldn't be turned on by default. It took me for ever to find out what was causing this annoying beep on my computer.

  I agree!! I can't stand that constant beeping. I can't remember how to silence it. I was listening to a video in the app. Surely we will not have to go through the process of silencing the beeps each time we visit Discord. I want the option to turn off the beeps, until I turn them back on.
