"/me" type messages won't let me send them
I'll be honest, the only "/me" type command I ever halfway intend for Discord act on or auto-convert into an emoticon or anything is the "/shrug" one, which I use once every week or two, probably. I might've even used "/tableflip" maybe twice in all the time I've used Discord, too. everything else is basically an unpleasant surprise when the popup shows, and I have to rethink what I'm typing so that Discord won't act on it. I am therefore well aware that none of the things I enter are things that Discord would auto-convert into anything, and that's part of why I use them, like the "/me" messages in IRC. everyone understands "/shows self out" after posting a pun as the joke it is.
except now, Discord just wiggles the text box and refuses to let me send such a message, as if I've made an error it can't accept. no, I haven't made an error. I've deliberately entered something it can't/won't act on. I don't want it to act on my messages like that.
can this bad behavior be reverted, please? or a switch in user settings to allow us to make it let us enter those sorts of things without Discord being petulant about it, if it isn't one of the commands it recognizes? I've kept my patience with this nonsense so far, but it is wearing on me fast.
thanks.

Same problem here.
As a quick addition, you can use the /me function if you allow the Beta functionality you find in the settings > text and images > text box area.
However, using that will obscure the last few lines of text AND won't allow posting of multiple paragraphs of text which can be quite annoying.
Tested this with the webclient and desktop client and android client.0
