Automatic muting when joining voice channel

Can there be an option to be automatically muted when joining a voice channel?

Sometimes people, including myself, forget they are not muted and everyone can hear.

***EDIT: You actually can do this. Look at the bottom panel where your profile picture and tag is. There will be a mic icon which you can click to mute/unmute even when not in a voice call. You can also deafen/undeafen

    An auto feature would be very useful seeing as you get automatically unmuted in private calls so if you went from private to public calls you might forget you aren't your normal muted self

    Can this be used on mobile? I'm not seeing an option like that, sadly

    I think this is actually quite inappropriate that it's not a default option setting to be automatically muted when joining a group chat.  It's quite disruptive when people join without knowing that the mic is on.  I would also prefer it as my default when joining a group for myself so I don't accidently say something unintended.
