Can Edit Other Users Messages Roles Permission
I run a discord community for one of my businesses and one of our main issues is that our new staff team members struggle to format there messages correctly. They don't put bold text where needed and refuse to edit there messages (They are volunteers so I can't force them to do anything) meaning I am stuck with an unprofessional looking information text channel.
If there was a permisson in the roles settings for me to edit other users messages in my discord. I would then be able to fix the errors that new staff make and explain to them how to format with much more ease.
I understand this could be bad as other users messages could be manipulated, but a simple fix to this could be putting this after the message (Edited by Other) to alert others that this message has been changed from the origonal users message. This would look the same as the standard edited message text but tell others the message was edited by another user.
As this is already in use, I don't see why adding the ability for other users to edit messages would be a problem. That would enhance chat moderation and also allow communitys to keep there teams posts in check. This would help also bigger servers where professionalism is a must.
Please consider adding this feature as it would be a life changer for a person like me who owns multiple discords with communitys of 100+ users.
Also to further this point, if users can delete a message, then why can you not manipulate them? This permission should be turned off by default but specific roles should be allowed to change messages and it is a community admins role to give this permission to trusted users.
Also to prevent trusted users for manipulating community messages with bad intentions. It must show the origonal message in the audit logs, who edited the message and what it was changed too. This will prevent users with bad intentions from using this to get other users into trouble.

Yes please create an "Edit Messages" channel permission so that it can be assigned to roles. The edited tag will prevent any abuse by malicious users because it will be traceable to the offending mod/admin.
The simple fact that admins and roles can delete messages is a far worse method for abuse than edits because those actions are untraceable. The "edited by moderator / admin" tag however establishes much better transparency.
