Bulletin Board?

Is there or could there be a way to have a "bulletin board" or "idea board" in a channel. like if you had a group of people, only to a certain size, be able to pull up the channel and pull up an open word doc so to speak that can be updated in real time for everyone in the channel to view and add to.
