"User Joins VC" gui effect

I find it annoying that when a user joins a VC with a few people already connected, sometimes I can't tell who just joined. If there was an effect that highlighted (green?) users who joined in the last few seconds, people would be able to greet newcomers better. Conversely, if someone disconnects, it might be nice if the name was highlighted for a moment (red?) before the name was removed from the connected list.
