Text box autoselect is broken (MOSTLY FIXED)

A lot of people are reporting a "new" "bug" - being told by support that it's working as intended - where the text box is being unselected when you post attachments. This isn't new, and it isn't the bug people think it is. The bug is that Discord no longer autoselects the text box when you type, which made this behaviour a non-issue previously. This past behaviour from Discord was super useful for a wide variety of reasons, and making the deselection on senting an attachment a non-issue was one of those reasons.

EDIT: Updating to note this has been fixed.

MORE EDIT: Not entirely fixed, apparently. The issue still comes back intermittently when alt+tabbing out of Discord and back without the text box selected while doing so. I suspect it's "alt" functionality - normally this is a "menu" button but doesn't ordinarily do anything on Discord. Seems it might be doing so now though, for some reason.

yup, same thing happened with uploading .txt files when you'd copy paste a long message, now it just won't let you... we're moving backwards instead of forward smh

And edited OP because not entirely fixed, apparently. Noted the information I've confirmed so far about how to still reproduce the bug, but it is far less prevalent than it was.
