Regarding /me command
I frequently visit sites like Twitch.com and Chatzy.com besides Discord for chatting.
One feature that Twitch, Discord, and Chatzy have all in common is a command called /me. However, two of the sites uses the functionality of /me as it is meant to be while Discord approached it incorrectly.
Discord's /me command only functionality is creating the text you write turn into italics. That defeats entirely the purpose of using asterisks *like this* between messages.
I highly suggest that /me command, instead of italicizing, creates the text into the color of your said role. Twitch has the exact same function and so does Chatzy.
For people who roleplay often, I know they would find this command to become easily useful. Roleplay groups on Discord have exploded big time on Discord since the pandemic and I think they deserve to have more roleplay-friendly features. It would enhance these communities and make Discord a much bigger community for these people.
I am providing an example of what Twitch does with their /me command so that Discord may consider doing this.

Awwwww, yes it could be interesting implemented. <3

I've been wishing for this ever since I first started using Discord and saw they had fun built-in / commands which I love using in other chat services and games like Minecraft. Simply italicizing the entire text just doesn't feel right since I can already do that to my messages on my own which makes the current /me redundant.
Most chat services change /me messages that normally look like "[Timestamp] [Username]: [Message]"
2:31 Nolfinkol:
shakes his fist angrily
to removing the colon, bolding the name, and making it flow like a proper action (sometimes even omitting the timestamp altogether)
2:31 Nolfinkol shakes his fist angrily
or
Nolfinkol shakes his fist angrily
In the case of Discord, the timestamp appears on the mouseover of the message. Overall, doing it this way or some way similar to it feels cleaner and like a proper roleplay action.

I'd also really appreciate an improved `/me` command. In principle it's a fun way to express yourself, but the way Discord currently implements it is quite dissatisfying :(
